Immaculate Heart Seminary

Immaculate Heart Seminary, located on sixty-one acres of property in the Catskill Mountains of New York, opened in the fall of 1996.  The first priest member of the Congregation, Father Joseph Santay, was ordained in 2001.  Bishop Kelly consecrated Father Santay a bishop for the Congregation in February of 2007.

When the seminary opened, the first priests and seminarians in residence used seven very small cottages on the property as their chapel, refectory, classroom and living quarters.  By spring of 2000, a new building was constructed for the chapel, kitchen, refectory, and a few classrooms.  Construction on another larger building was begun in the fall of 2004.  This building consists of two floors and a basement with bedrooms, offices, and classrooms to accommodate an increase in priests and seminarians.  Later, a hallway connecting this dormitory building to the chapel building was added.
